Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has praised Reece James , the attacking right-back who scored two goals alone in the army. The Blue Lions defeated Newcastle United 3-0 last night.
“The game won against Newcastle today, the details are so diverse and complete in every way. But what impressed me the most was that our right-back Reece James scored two goals,” Tuchel told Sky Sports.
“It’s not easy to see a defender come up and score two important goals in one game. But thanks to fellow pals Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell who helped create opportunities for our James with plenty of room to hit the trigger.”
“The other two involved, Kai Havertz and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, have also made a huge contribution to the signing. Their play made me not worried that we had to have a target striker. Or how many strikers have to shoot? But to get involved with one of the gates, that would be satisfying.”
But in the end. I really want to go back and watch Reece James a few more times because the two balls he showed us today were so perfect. It was as heavy as a strum horse.
