Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has warned youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly that he needs to understand the difference between hard play and fouls if he wants to avoid future disciplinary problems. The

18-year-old has been shown two yellow cards and two red cards since January, most recently in Tuesday’s 7-1 Champions League rout of PSV Eindhoven.
He was substituted at half-time after being booked for a challenge on home defender Richard Ledesma.
“It’s a big lesson for him, for sure. We’ll be there to help and support him. The line between hard play and foul play is very thin and he has to understand that,” Arteta said.
“It’s not a moment to put the team at a disadvantage. He’s a bright boy, very determined and a perfectionist. He’s got a great environment around him which will help him learn and develop.”
Lewis-Skelly made his first-team debut in the 2-2 draw at Manchester City in September. And he impressed in Arsenal’s 5-1 rout of The Citizens in January, คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย scoring.
However, he has struggled for discipline, being sent off at Wolves the same month – a red card which was later overturned as Arsenal fought back to a 1-0 win – and again in February, when he was sent off in a 1-0 defeat at West Ham, hurting the team’s title chances.
Arteta believes Lewis-Skelly must assess situations better before deciding to tackle, saying: “You’ve got to control the space you’re defending. “Are
the opposition facing you? What are your chances of winning the tackle? And when should you take a risk in the tackle? “
Those are clear principles of defending – if you don’t do them then they can be a big problem at this level.
